Obesity can find its root cause in the project-sense
Nancy talked about a life long feeling of being abandoned by her mother.
Nancy talked about her mother being pregnant with her out of wedlock. Her mother had tried to hide her pregnant-looking stomach and the shame that she felt. This resulted in Nancy being born premature.
As a newborn baby, she weighed only 4 pounds and needed special care.
She was taken away and put into an incubator and was unable to have any contact with her mother. The only way they would allow her to be with her mother was if she gained weight. “When you gain enough weight, we will let you be with your mother.”
She would benefit greatly from gaining weight. This is when she became programmed to be overweight.
Nancy started to gain weight after the birth of her first child, who was born premature too. Giving birth triggered the abandonment she felt when she was born.
It is interesting to see that there was a lot stress related to the pregnancy and that she was named Nancy… (PregNancy)
